McCordachs - About Us

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about us! My husband Jerrod and I live just northeast of Indianapolis, IN (we are huge Colts fans!). We take great pride in our Dachshunds and are they are a huge part of our lives. They are true members of our family and live inside with us, going outside only to play in their yard or to potty, or go on walks. After a long day, we can always count on our dachshunds to cheer us up and make us laugh. Dachshunds are the perfect dogs if you ask me... intelligent, comical, loving, bossy, faithful, and protective. We love sharing these wonderful creatures with other families just like ours. We breed to produce lovely pets as well as possible breed/show prospects.

This all started back in the summer of 2006. I purchased Sid as my very first Dachshund, and I fell in love with this amazing breed. He is "just" a pet and will never have litters of his own, but he plays a very important role as the pack leader of the doxies and my best buddy. He is always glued to my side when I'm at home. Go to Sid's Page to read more about him! I made the decision to start a small breeding program in late 2007, and bought three more dogs (Howie, Ginger, and Lily). When I met Jerrod in 2008, he told me he had always wanted a Dachshund. I said, well how about four of them?? He is a true animal lover and I am very grateful he allows me to live my dream of raising doxies. We are very small with only 6 breeding dogs, and plan to stay that way.
