I do require a $150 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit in order to hold a puppy. This guarantees I will not place the puppy of your choice with someone else, and it also guarantees to me that you will be purchasing the puppy specified. Once you let me know you are sending a deposit, I place the puppy on hold and if the deposit is not receive within 5 days, it will be made available. Puppies will NOT be reserved unless a deposit is made, but I will wait the 5 days for it to arrive in the mail. I also allow visitation for deposit-holders or interested parties, but usually not until the litter reaches 4-5 weeks of age for their health and well-being. Please read through my sales contract thoroughly before decided on one of my babies. We accept cash, postal money orders, and personal checks for deposits. Your deposit amount will be deducted from the total sale price. Deposits will only be refunded if the puppy becomes sick or otherwise unavailable while in our care. If you change your mind after placing a deposit, please let us know immediately. Your deposit will not be lost, but it may be transferred to another puppy available at a later date.
Puppies must be paid in FULL by 8 weeks of age. If full payment is not received by then, your deposit will be forfeited and the puppy will be placed back up for sale immediately. Puppies are to be picked up at 8 weeks of age unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Puppies may be held longer than 8 weeks, but the balance is still due at 8 weeks and it must be discussed at the time you place the deposit. A small weekly fee for food and board may apply.
I will list all upcoming litters on the Expecting page, and if you see something you might be interested in feel free to contact me to be put on the waiting list. No financial obligations are required to do so. I will contact everyone on the waiting list first when the puppies are born, and deposits may be sent at that time. Puppies are reserved in the order deposits are received. I do take deposits before puppies have arrived for first pick of the litter only... all others can reserve pups after they are born. I will want to learn more about you before a deposit may be placed.
CASH ONLY is accepted at the time of pick-up. Postal money orders may also be used for final payments, but please send one week prior to pick-up. No puppies will leave my home until they are paid for in full. Thank you for understanding!
Price is determined by bloodlines, conformation, color, pattern, gender, and registration type. All puppies will be registered with the American Kennel Club, and there are two different types of registration. Most of my puppies will be sold with LIMITED REGISTRATION at a pet-only price discounted from Full Registration, meaning that the puppy has papers but cannot be used for conformation showing or breeding. These puppies will be sold on a Spay/Neuter Contract stating that we will mail the AKC papers to you once we receive proof your pet has been spayed or neutered by one year of age. This is to protect our breeding program and to prevent irresponsible breeding. Puppies that are available with FULL REGISTRATION will be eligible to participate in all AKC shows and have their offspring registered with the AKC. These puppies will be sold at the full price. Please let me know up front if you are interested in purchasing one of our puppies with full registration. Not all puppies will be eligible for full registration, and I will only sell those puppies to responsible breeders in order to protect my babies. Personal and/or vet references will be required... I need to make sure I am comfortable with where my puppies are going and how their lives with their new owners will be.
As stated in our Sales Contract, you must take your new puppy to a Veterinarian for a check-up within 72 hours of purchase/pick-up or the health guarantee will be void. This is for your puppy's benefit... Your vet will be able to confirm the health of your new puppy and continue his/her preventative health requirements. See our Sales Contract above for more details.
I reserve the right to refuse prospective buyers for ANY reason at any time before or during the sale. These are my babies and they are all very important to me, so I want to be sure they are going to wonderful homes where they will be loved their entire lives. Once again, if you buy a doxie from me and need to find it a new home at any time, please contact me first and I will assist you in finding a good home, or I will gladly take my baby back!
